Outline and explain two ways in which globalisation may contribute to the spread of religious beliefs and practices.

What is expected in the answer?
Outline and explain means students should identify two distinct processes associated with globalisation and explain how each enables religious beliefs or practices to spread. For 10 marks, two developed paragraphs are normally sufficient. There is no need for an introduction, conclusion or extended evaluation.
The crucial connection is:
aspect of globalisation → movement or communication of religion → spread of religious belief/practice.
Students should not simply describe globalisation or describe a religion. AQA has previously assessed links between globalisation and religion, rewarding answers that clearly connect technological change, migration and global cultural processes to changes in religious belief and practice.
