AQA A-Level Sociology | Paper 3 | 2027 Predicted Paper | Crime and Deviance Mark Scheme
Question 1
Outline two reasons why some social groups may be more likely than others to become victims of crime.
[4 marks]
What is expected?
Outline two means students should identify two different reasons and give a brief development of each that explains why victimisation may differ between social groups. With only four marks available, two concise developed points are enough, there is no need for an introduction, conclusion or lengthy discussion of victimology.
Award 2 marks for each appropriate reason clearly outlined, or 1 mark for an appropriate reason that is identified but only partly developed. This follows AQA's established approach to the four-mark question.
