A-Level Results Day is the day you receive your grades and discover whether your university place has been confirmed.
For many students, the basic process is straightforward:

Once you have your grades, use the wording in your application to decide what happens next.
Avoid calling every university immediately.
When your place is already confirmed, you normally do not need to telephone admissions simply to check that the university has noticed your grades.

Your Insurance Choice Is Confirmed
You may see:
Congratulations. You have been placed at your insurance choice.
This normally means:
Your firm university did not confirm your place
Your insurance university accepted you
When you are happy with your insurance course, you do not need to accept it again. Check the course details and wait for instructions from the university.
What happens to your firm choice?
Your unsuccessful firm choice is no longer holding your place.
You should not assume you can choose between the firm and insurance universities after the insurance place has been confirmed.

You can use the Decline my place option to release yourself into Clearing, but completing the process cancels your confirmed university place.

A pending status does not mean you have been rejected.
